Sharkville PIER/BOARDWALK

The first project of the new city was the lowest elevation point and that is the pier/boardwalk/beach. I wanted to give the frontal view of the city a unique and fun look. The plan is about six or seven mils plates long and a tram line that goes from one end to the other.

The start of the new Sharkville!

I wanted the boardwalk to be filled with food vendors leading to the pier which would have the fun and games aspect. The gift with purchase sets from LEGO were no brainers to start.

The next part I had to figure out was building the tram track into to MILS plate

I wanted the tram track built into the plate versus sitting on top. Plate wise it luckily measured right in and was an easy conversion.

Next was adding resident houses

I wanted row houses to fill in behind. The proximity to the tram track probably wouldn’t sell well but for space issues, this is where it will be. Layout wise I was feeling good so far. Tiling was the big question mark to figure out next.

I added two more houses, the tram and one more food stand next.

I added the next set of houses to get a feel on space and really liked how it turned out. The water tiling was not going how I wanted and I took a reset on it to rethink.

First attempt at water tiles
I needed to spread the water more evenly but it was starting to look more proper
I added the next gift with purchase sets, the boardwalk was feeling complete

There’s still two more sets to be released with the restaurants of the world collection. My plan is to line them all up in a row.

The extension continues out!
I wanted to do something different with the path and laid down the tiled bricks and slid them in
